Make Sales Predictable!


Wouldn’t you love to know what your sales are going to be next month? How about the next quarter or six months? Everyone likes some predictability in their life. People love routines. People love when they can rely on something.

However, for most sales people, life is unpredictable. While the guy in the office can rely on a steady paycheck, the sales person’s paycheck varies based on the amount they sell. It’s this unpredictability which puts most people off making sales as their life’s work.

However, it does not have to be this way. You can create a steady revenue source even in sales. The road to this however is paved with hard work. You need to work hard at creating relationships with your customers. Once the hard work is done, you will have a pipeline full of orders that you can rely on.

Having a full pipeline will ensure peace of mind and a steady revenue stream. The sales person profits, the company profits and everybody wins. You also reduce costs as less time is spent pounding the pavement and more towards creating customer value. If, however you do not maintain a relationship with the customer, your sales are patchy, you cannot rely on a steady revenue stream, you are unhappy, your company is unhappy, and everyone loses.

Therefore, don’t become a victim of unpredictability. Make sales and revenue predictable by sowing the seeds of a strong relationship.
