Set Reminders to Get Things Done
There was a time when people used to tie a string to their finger. I never could figure out why. It was supposed to be a reminder for something to be done. I always wondered what if you forgot what that thing was?
These days life is a lot simpler. You can set yourself reminders on things that need to be taken care of.
Using your computer and now your phone can make life so much more organized.
I can set up events on my computer’s calendar and they are automatically synchronized with my phone.
Now whether I’m in the office or mobile, I am reminded of a deadline or an event. I can be sure that I will not miss a meeting or forget to attend a webinar.
However, like everything else, this is a habit that has to be developed. People still don’t write things down or set up appointments in their calendars. The result is missed meetings, missed opportunities and as you can imagine loss in productivity.
Setting up reminders allows you to set up a buffer of when you want to be reminded of an event. This way you can give yourself a margin to get ready for a meeting or attending a webinar.
It can also help you to check whether there are any scheduling conflicts so you do not double book yourself and therefore are faced with embarrassment.
So learn to set up your calendar and reminders so you can know what you want to do and when it needs to be done.
Your will benefit from it by increasing your productivity and efficiency.
